Mustang residents Garland and Emily Price marked their 50th wedding anniversary Friday.
The couple celebrated with a recreational vehicle trip to New England last fall. A family celebration is planned in April at Lake Eufaula.
The Prices married Feb. 19, 1960 at Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. They met at Murray State College in Tishomingo.
Garland Price served in the Oklahoma National Guard for six years, and his final rank was supply sergeant. He obtained an associates degree in engineering from Murray State College and attended Oklahoma State University, the University of Oklahoma and University of Central Oklahoma. Price worked for 40 years at OG&E, retiring as a contract coordinator in 2000.
Emily Price worked for 16 years at the Federal Aviation Administration as a program analyst before her retirement.
The couple moved to Mustang in 1968 and raised three children — Brad Price and wife Laurie of Huntsville, Ala., Cindy Martin and husband Rex of Yukon and Jeff Price of Edmond. They have four grandchildren, Taylor and Morgan Price and Ryne and Christa Martin.
The Prices are long-time members of Chisholm Heights Baptist Church, where Garland Price serves as deacon. They also love to travel.
