BUSINESS Q&A: PARTNERS OPEN NEW CHIROPRACTIC PRACTICE
MUSTANG NEWS
Edition:Wednesday, July 22, 2009

Business name: Live Well Family Chiropractic
Owner: Kevin Green and Courtney Doyle
Address: 500 N Financial Terrace, Mustang, OK, 73064 (located behind Intrust Bank)
Phone: 376-4300
Education: Courtney Doyle completed her four years of undergraduate studies at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond. Kevin Green completed his undergraduate studies at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford. Both attended chiropractic school at Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas.
Tell us about your business: Live Well Family Chiropractic offers a different approach to health care. Green and Doyle share a vision of chiropractic that differs slightly from what most people perceive chiropractic to be.
Both understand that there is a growing need for preventative medicine that targets underlying disease before symptoms begin to present.
Their practice focuses on treating the underlying factors contributing to several common conditions that many people may never have considered visiting a chiropractor about such as: recurring infantile ear infections, infantile colic, childhood asthma, allergies, high blood pressure and many more.
Why did you locate in Mustang/Yukon? Doyle has lived in Mustang her entire life and always wanted to return to begin her practice here. Green was unfortunately born a Texan but saw the light and moved to Mustang with Doyle to begin their practice together.
The two doctors met in chiropractic school and are recently engaged. They plan to marry in Jamaica in December.
What do you think is most unique about your business? Doyle is completing work on her diploma in pediatric chiropractic to specialize in childhood care. Her greatest joy is in treating children.
Green is finishing a degree in animal chiropractic and will be a certified animal Chiropractor in August. Raised on a large ranch in West Texas, Green grew up handling horses and plans to focus his animal practice on equine chiropractic.
The office has a different atmosphere than most doctors' offices. The office feels very young and fun and comfortable, complete with a jungle-themed treatment room for children.
What is the best advice you ever received? “Develop a compassion to serve that is greater than your compulsion to survive.” — Jim Parker.
What made you want to get into this profession? Both Green and Doyle have lost close loved ones and chose early on to pursue careers in the health care field. Doyle was drawn to chiropractic due to its holistic and natural approach to helping patients get and stay well.
Green had a younger brother who passed away at a very early age and always dreamed that he could do something to help other children with similar conditions. In finding chiropractic he discovered a technique that could likely offer that very hope.
What do you want your customers to remember most about you? Our love and desire to serve and help others in combination with our fun and young attitudes.
Tell us about your family: Green's parents and younger brother both live in Clarendon, Texas, a small town southwest of Amarillo. Doyle's mom and sisters all live in Mustang.
